Opening in 2005, the Robert Trent Jones Junior-designed course at Miramont Country Club is quite a strategic test. Water hazards feature at thirteen of the holes, but thankfully, forced carries have been kept to a minimum.

Miramont

The city of Bryan in Brazos County is home to Miramont Country Club and its Robert Trent Jones Junior-designed golf course. Founded by local businessman Donald A. Adam in 2005, the club also offers its members the use of an outdoor swimming pool and eight floodlit tennis courts.

The majestic clubhouse is absolutely enormous, extending to 93,000 square feet over a number of levels, and this rather lavish building boasts fabulous views across the course and the surrounding area from the spacious balcony.

Out on the course, generously proportioned fairways are routed around rolling grassland meadows studded with towering oak trees and there are challenging water hazards to be negotiated at more than half the holes on the scorecard.

Both nines begin and end with par fives and highlight holes include the tough 453-yard par four 3rd, the 428-yard “signature” par four 13th and the short left doglegged par four 11th, which offers the best chance of bagging a birdie.
