Review for Mission Hills (Norman)

Reviewer Score:

We travelled to Mission Hills in October 2012 to play the Norman & Duval courses before moving on to Macau. The Norman course was certainly the better of the two, and is widely regarded (amongst the caddies) as the toughest of all 12 courses at Mission Hills. We hired Golden Caddies and their knowledge of the course was a great help, and we had a great time in their company! The course itself was very tough off the Blue tees, with carries of at least 180yds on all holes to reach the fairway. The greens were fairly slow compared to British courses and I struggled to get the tempo, but they were in excellent condition. The only downside was that the course had clearly been watered heavily and there was little or no run on the fairways, meaning a long second shot on most holes. Beware, miss the green slightly and your ball will run off in to some horrific places guaranteeing a big score!Overall, a great course & one that i'm glad to have experienced.
