Mississauga Golf & Country Club was originally designed in 1906 by George Cumming and Percy Barrett. Over the years some of the most renowned architects like Stanley Thomson, Donald Ross, Doug Carrick and Robert Trent Jones Sr have all put their touches on this historic piece of land. Mississauga has held 6 Canadian open’s and is one of the most historic places in Canadian golf.
Mississauga has a lot of great holes and I found #2 to be very fun and interesting to start you off. With the tee shot having the hill on your left and the valley on the right you want to land it in the middle of the fairway. A downhill iron shot into a tight green surrounded by rough and bunkers makes for a tough shot in. It's a great hole to give you a taste of what's to come. The course then takes you down into the credit valley and across the Credit River which provides for a beautiful and picturesque set of holes coming up. The spacing between holes that have the river as a factor is very well laid out and exceptionally well done. The green speeds are consistent and fast. The bunkers are some of the best I've played and very well maintained. The course from start to finish is an absolute treat and a true piece of Canadian golf history.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
