Montgomerie Links
Funded by Indochina Capital, one of Vietnam’s leading financial services groups, the Montgomerie Links course is a central component of a multi-million dollar residential development located next to Danang’s My Khe beach.
It’s here that IMG Design and Colin Montgomerie fashioned a striking 18-hole layout on a sandy soiled landscape where slender casuarina pine trees frame many of the fast-running fairways and contoured greensites on the course.
Feature holes include a couple of slightly doglegged short par fours at the 4th and 15th, where water threatens to the right of the fairway on the former and to the left of the hole on the latter. The round ends (as indeed it begins) with a testing par five that plays slightly uphill to a raised green in front of the clubhouse.
Monty formally opened the course with an exhibition match in April 2010, establishing the course record with a four under par round of 68.
