Montour Heights Country Club is a private, member-owned parkland course situated on the former McCune Estate at 1491 Coraopolis Heights Road, near Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. The course was designed by Pete Dye and his son P.B. Dye, opening on June 1, 1987, and is noted as the only Pete Dye design in western Pennsylvania. Stretching 6,632 yards from the back tees, the layout traverses the rolling hills characteristic of southwestern Pennsylvania, incorporating the terrain naturally into the design alongside the signature stylistic elements associated with Pete Dye.
The club's origins date to 1911, when it was founded by a group of local residents including John Robinson McCune III. A nine-hole course was constructed in 1912 under the name Sunset Golf Club. The club was reorganized in 1917 as Montour Heights Country Club, expanded post-World War I, and later developed an 18-hole layout at a separate site in the 1960s before relocating entirely to the McCune Estate property in 1987.
The current facility incorporates the historic McCune mansion into its clubhouse structure. The grounds retain several original estate outbuildings, a caretaker's house, greenhouse, and vineyard, contributing to the property's historical character. The club began with 300 members upon opening at the new site and has maintained a commitment to preserving the estate's heritage.
