Moray Golf Club (Old)

The course was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1889, and unlike many historic links, much of its original character remains intact.

Moray is a classic, traditional links with a wonderfully authentic feel, shaped by the wind, the rumpled fairways, and the understated charm of the Lossiemouth coastline.

We experienced all weathers in one round when we played on Sunday, with our dog in accompaniment.

Old Moray was originally laid out in 1889 by none other Old Tom Morris and as with other traditional links courses starts and ends in the town, in this case the fishing town of Lossiemouth in Scotland’s north east.

A course that leaves and returns into the town of Lossiemouth, Moray Old is a classic links.

This was the second to last course we played in our 2 week Scottish road trip.

Course 2 on our Scotland trip was Moray Old.

Lovely old links course with nice feel to it.

After the round at the New and lunch in the elevated old Club House watching the water, it was time to go and play the Old.

A great test of golf, particularly in the wind.
