Moss Vale

Moss Vale Golf Club dates back to 1902 but the course is actually a Carnegie Clark design from 1936. Tree-lined fairways are routed around Whites Creek, which comes into play on twelve different occasions during a round here.

Today, the course extends to just over 5,800 metres from the regular tees, playing to a par of 71 (36 out then 35 in), with holes shoehorned into a rather restricted property of around 100 acres. Water comes into play at a couple of holes: the 155-metre 6th and the 198-metre 16th, where ponds protect the putting surface on both these par threes.

Highlight holes include the uphill, short par four 3rd; the downhill par four 8th which doglegs right close to the green; the long par four 14th (with a bunker in front of the green contributing to its stroke index 1 status); and the left dogging par four 18th, where the creek is crossed for the final time immediately in front of the home green.
