Mount Broughton

Located just a 10-minute drive from the small town of Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands, Mount Broughton Golf & Country Club began welcoming golfers to its 18-hole facility in 1994.

The course is a co-design from two of Australia’s most famous professional golfers, local-born Frank Phillips and Bill Dunk who lives these days in Gosford, outside Sydney.

Phillips, who won the Australian Open in 1961, said: "the course is one of the most interesting developed in Australia for many decades. It's a natural, and feels like it's been there for a hundred years."

Dunk, who claimed five PGA titles between 1962 and 1976 said: "the things I like most about the game are the gentlemanly traditions (which are) all too often missing from the modern golfing world. That's the reason why Mount Broughton is so special."

Laid out along the railway line, the open fairways at Mount Broughton are arranged as two returning nines, with the shorter front nine occupying the southern portion of the property.

Feature holes include the par three 2nd (“Long Drop”), where the Medway Rivulet cuts across in front of the green, and the short par four 18th (“Wee Dram”) which concludes the round close to the clubhouse.
