Narin & Portnoo Links

You shouldn’t get lost, but one day I went looking for a couple of Germans who hadn’t returned to the clubhouse after six hours.

As a fan of Irish links golf and Gil Hanse, I so badly wanted to enjoy Narin and Portnoo, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment.

I first played Narin & Portnoo Links in 2014 and returned to play again in June 2023 to take a look at the recent changes made by Gil Hanse.

I loved this course with its all it zany holes.

I absolutely loved this course, i had no idea what to expect, but it was a joy from start to finish, what they have done here with all the new holes has taken it to another level.

Our visit to Narin&Portnoo came on our 5th and 6th days of a two week golf tour of Northwest Ireland.

I returned to Narin & Portnoo for the first time since 2008 and was delighted to see that a weak opening hole and a few back nine quirks have been rectified by the Gil Hanse redesign.

Donegal borders what is known as the Wild Atlantic Coast along the Northern and North West coastlines of Ireland.

Narin & Portnoo was something of an unknown quantity to me ahead of a recent golf trip to Northwest Ireland.

I had little expectations of N&P except knowing that Gil Hanse had recently redesigned it.
