Review for Ndola

Reviewer Score:

This is a course that is old fashioned, in fair condition and not too hard, but I enjoy playing here nonetheless. The members are enthusiastic, welcoming and always ready for the 19th hole. The club facilities are adequate. The course itself, is well laid out, with giant anthills taking the place of bunkers as hazards from tee to green. You have preferred lies all year round on the fairways, which I personally hate, as the fairways are not that bad. The greens can be bumpy, but one has to remember this is not a rich country, and for the most part, they are true. Standout holes are definitely 3, 7, 9, 13, and 18. Another plus is that you have to hit shots of all shape, prime example being the par 5 13 which demands a faded drive and drawn second. The par 4 18th may well be one of the best holes to finish in golf because it is right up to the clubhouse where the out door bar is bound to be full of imbibing golfers only too keen to impart "advice". A good hole to birdie if you like applause. Not a classic, but fun to play.
