Nelson Bay (Championship)

It was originally known as Tomaree golf Links, the club was founded with a nine-hole course in the 1960s The subtropical Nelson Bay Golf Club has grown over the years to an acclaimed 27-hole course with one of the most captivating among the 3 9-hole courses being in holes 10-18.

Ray McKinlay, the professional at Merewether Golf Club, laid the course in its original 9 holes Then Prosper Ellis designed an upgraded 18-hole layout in the late 1970s. A little over 30 many years after, Phil Ryan from Pacific Coast Design added a 9-hole course that was became available for play in 1998.

The holes that stand out are the lengthy and slightly left-doglegging 2nd par 4 (with out of bounds to the left side and bunkers to the left and front on the right side of the hole) as well as the par 3 14th, which is located in the southeast portion of the property with a lovely pond is located directly just to the left side of the green area.
