I was a member at NSW Golf Club for 30 years - so I truly know this golf course and how it operates.The course is always in good shape - maintenance staff tops.The course only has a few really good golf holes - the design has veered well away from the original Alister Mackenzie blueprint which, in addition to the ocean views, made the course quite notable.The views from a couple holes are beautiful, breathtaking almost surreal - but honestly, only on a handful of the holes.The club has operated poorly, and currently is operated poorly under its current club management. In other words - the club rules and regulations make it very hard to have a great overall golfing experience. And difficult for members to offer their guests a memorable day. I’ve played every great golf course in Australia (again, lived there for years ) - and can confidently recommend Kingston Heath and Royal Melbourne as tops.
