Noord-Nederlandsche

The layout at Noord-Nederlandse Golf & Country Club was established by Guy Campbell in 1954 then extended to eighteen holes by Frank Pennink in the early 1980s. A decade later, Donald Steel carried out further course modifications.

Today, the course extends to 5,971 metres from the back tees, playing to a par of 72, with holes arranged as two returning nines. Water comes significantly into play at only a couple of the par five holes on the card: in front of the peninsula green at the 8th and alongside the left of the fairway on the 11th.

Highlight holes include the left doglegging short par four 3rd; the 366-metre 7th (rated stroke index 2); the 560-metre 11th that runs along the railway line with out of bounds on the left; and the par four 18th which plays to a bunkerless home green located next to the clubhouse.

Frank Pont began consulting at the club in 2017 and he oversaw the renovation of holes 1-7 and 17 over the following six years. Plans are in place to continue this improvement work.
