Noosa

Formerly known as Tewantin Noosa, Noosa Golf Club operates a Jack Newton- designed layout with tree-lined couch fairways routed around a number of small ponds on the edge of Tewantin National Park.

The layout extends to 6,100 metres from the back tees, with par rated at 72 and holes arranged as two returning 9-hole loops. Aquatic hazards come into play at several holes in the form of ponds or creeks close to the green (as at #3, #5, #7 and #12) or as little lakes running alongside the fairway (as at #8 and #11).

Highlight holes include two of the toughest on the scorecard: the 414-metre 3rd doglegs right to a bunkerless green with a small lake behind the putting surface (rated stroke index 2) and the 405-metre 15th bends slowly left to another sand-free green with out of bounds running the length of the fairway on the left.
