The course at Norba Club de Golf de Cáceres is a Carlos Cisini design with water-laden holes on the front nine running along a valley then a tree-lined back nine that moves on to higher ground in the southern part of the property.
Federated to the RFEG in 1988, the club lies 10 kilometres south ofthe UNESCO World Heritage City of Cáceres, famed for its mix of Roman, Moorish and Renaissance architecture – any trip to play golf here has to include some sightseeing around the town.
The course occupies a site of around 120 acres, stretching to 6,422 metres from the back tees, with par set at 72. A list of notable holes will contain the tough, right doglegging par four 5th, along with the shortest (and last) of the par threes at the 17th.
