Noteworthy holes on the Old course include the second of the par threes at the 114-metre 4th (where a pond sits in front of the green); the strong par five 5th (rated stroke index 1) with an obstructive ditch crossing the fairway; and the left doglegging par five 7th which narrows considerably as the fairway reaches the green.
Highlights on the inward half include the par four 12th, which is another tough hole (rated stroke index 2) that veers from right to left off the tee and the last of the par threes at the very narrow 144-metre 15th. The closing three holes then occupy more open ground close to the clubhouse.
