As each year, we at WeGolf hosted the Rugby Championship teams and I was able to play the course in consecutive weeks together with the All Blacks (partnered with Sam Cane and Aaron Smith) and the Wallabies (played texas Scramble with Kurtley Beale against Reece Hodge and Billy Meakes).
It has been a wild winter, cold and wet, with much more many ice frosts than last year and already with 3 weeks of Spring bermuda is taking longer to come out of dormancy.
But with all these, I enjoyed the course in very good condition with greens rolling true coming out of the late winter punching to get some fresh air to the roots.
We played in 2 sunny windy days, usual conditions here in Nordelta but with the exaxt opposite wind from one round to another which made it 2 different courses. For example at par 5 8th I went from drive-spoon to drive-7iron the next week.
It is a very challenging course as I have noted in previous reviews and it was fun to watch elite athletes like Beauden & Jordi Barrett, TJ Perenara, Anton Lienert Brown, Rory Arnold, Ala Alaatoa and even coach Steve Hansen to be outplayed by the difficulty of some of the holes. They all the same loved the experience and it is good for BsAs to have a course well prepared and knowing how to deal with elite athletes, in this item Nordelta is second to no course in Argentina as they perfectly understood how to host them and this is important for Argentina as a destination.
There have not been major changes to the course which turned 11 years old this year but a small bunker added before the green of par 3 2nd to make it a little less penal.
Buenos Aires can offer great golf for one week, it is time to come and enjoy it!
