Nottinghamshire (Championship)
Set in 240 acres of rolling parkland close to Nottingham city centre, the Championship course at The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club has benefitted in recent years from a long-term renovation project overseen by architect Paul Kimber.
These course improvements have involved changes to the 1st (removing a fairway ditch and adding a new bunker); the 4th (altering it from a par four to a par five); the 12th and 18th (with the introduction of new tees and adding new water features).
Other holes of note include the slightly left veering par four 7th (rated stroke index 2); the right doglegging par four 13th (rated stroke index 1); and the last of the par threes at the 160-yard 14th, with water to the right and sand to the left of the putting surface.
