Played it back in 2014 and wasn’t sure if to re review it but after playing it yesterday it feels fair to remark the changes from 9 years ago after checking the pictures from then.
The first thing is that the quality of maintenance and course shape has gone to another level. Greens were as mint as you can expect and rolling unreally fast. Bunker faces have improved so much that now it feels like every bunker is put in the correct spot. Rough was quite penal and with some rain playing quite heavy.
Trees … the cleaning program is awesome and now you have a lot more to see from every spot and the trees left add exactly what the course needs. Add fall colors and you will understand why I really liked how the course is set now and the views you get off the tee boxes.
New Holes:
Oak Hill East is an absolute beast of a test, we played 6600yds par 71 in rain and cold and felt amazingly challenging. The change in 9 years is unreal and it feels the course could have a nice jump in next year rankings.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
