Amendoeira (Faldo)

A stunning course set on hilly, undulating terrain, with excellent par 3s and a real sense of theatre as you climb up to elevated tees and drop down to greens below.

This is a really good course, with lots to think about on every shot, no weak holes, all greens ran left to right and oblong so really need to know the yardages to the flag as tight to land, greens not fast but true.

Amendoeira Faldo course is a tougher test than the O'Connor course next door, but offers some brilliant holes.

I had wanted to play Amendoeria for a number of years, having heard great things and viewed it from a distance whilst traveling across the Algarve.

Not an enjoyable course too play, very unfair in places and too tricked up.

The Faldo course is harder than its sibling at the Amendoeira Golf Resort.

The Amendoeira resort is a perfect spot for a golfing weekend with friends, everything you need is on site with very well appointed villas and two good golf courses that bring very different challenges.

Was really looking forward to playing this course as a big Faldo fan over the years.

From the moment you arrive you are surrounded by exceptional class.

Just played Amendoiera for the first time, another first was that this was my first ever course played that was designed by Sir Nick Faldo.
