Oliva Nova
The Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort lies on the Costa Blanca, an hour’s drive to the south of Valencia, and it offers visiting guests a number of sporting pursuits, including football, rugby, horse riding, tennis and golf.
The golf course occupies a 125-acre portion of a property that spreads out along the coast, though the fairways never actually come into contact with the glistening waters of the Mediterranean as housing units unfortunately claim the beachfront sites strung out along the sandy shoreline.
Designed by Seve Ballesteros, the course can be stretched to 6,312 metres, with no fewer than fifteen of the fairways coming into contact with water hazards during a round – only the 2nd, 13th and 14th holes are free from aquatic interference – so wayward golfers are advised to bring some extra golf balls.
