Oosterhoutse

Founded in 1985, Oosterhoutse Golf Club has had an 18-hole course in play since day one of its formation. The arrival of an Academy course in 2017 resulted in the introduction of four new holes on the main layout. These are now played as #3 to #6 in a separate compartment to the southeast of the property.

The layout extends to 6,144 metres from the back tees and par is set at 72 (37 out, 35 in) with holes arranged as two returning nines. Water features on several holes, most notably at the par four 9th and par three 10th (the same pond protects both greens) and the short par four 13th, where the green sits beyond another little lake, forcing an aerial approach.

Highlight holes include the long par four 6th (rated stroke index 1) where the fairway sweeps past a pond on the right then turns in that direction towards a stoutly sand-protected offset green. On the shorter back nine, the tree-lined 16th is another tough par four that veers right to a large green with a front right bunker situated in prime sentinel position.

Frank Pont has been consulting at the club since around 2007. Since then, almost all the holes on the main course have been renovated, with the focus on improving green surrounds and bunkering.
