Pacific Golf Club

Founded in 1937, Pacific Golf Club moved from its original site at Upper Mount Gravatt to its present location at Carindale in 1964. The Bulimba Creek wanders through the course, its sparkling waters coming into play at several holes.

Shoehorned into a 110-acre property, the layout measures 6,255 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 72 (36 out then 36 in), with holes arranged as two returning 9-hole circuits, each of which ends with a testing par five. Ponds also come into play at several holes, most notably at #5 to #7 on the front nine then at #13 and 16 on the back nine.

Highlight holes include the right doglegging par four 5th in the southeast corner of the layout (rated stroke index 1, with an irrigation pond to carry in front of the green), and the triangulated sequence of par fours from the 14th to 16th, where birdies are hard to bag on the first two holes but one might be possible on the last.
