Review for Palmer Gold Coast

Reviewer Score:

The former Championship course is set in the natural Queensland bushland with towering eucalypts tunneling rolling fairways. An excellent routing greets the golfer here with two 9 hole loops.

A natural water-course featuring lakes, ponds, creeks and native wildlife completes a rare golf course environment that does have a residential estate beyond the bushland.

The course has plenty of bunkering throughout and can make for tough decisions to be made as the course has great elevation change and your ball could certainly roll forward or backward into one so club choice is crucial. Some holes are tight off the tee but once through the fairways are certainly wide enough.

The course has a Brookwater and Bonville feel to it in parts but these two other courses mentioned are certainly better conditioned than Palmer GC.

The 18th is the best hole on the course for it's elevated tee shot downhill to a large landing area has a great view, then to lay up, or take the water on that lurks around this green, risk vs reward is evident on this hole and more at Palmer GC.
