This is a really good golf course that is often overlooked except for those in the know. The best holes are from 3-14, with the first couple and last four a bit bland and flat. The others more than make up for it with several tricky tee shots. It is old school, and it's no surprise this is often a course where hickories are played. With banks and burns, it's slightly quirky but uses the available land well. The more you play here, the more enjoyable it is, it's a golf course you would join if you could. (ED)

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
