Persimmon Ridge just wears you out with the same sort of features over and over. 5-11 is exhausting as you get seven straight par 4's thrown at you that are on the tough side. Overall, it's a lot of doglegs where it's vital to hit the correct side or you're out of the hole. A few holes nestle inches away from water which can obviously be extremely penalizing; especially if you have to take a drop off stroke and distance, which is not uncommon with some of those penalty areas. Lot of trees can affect shots as well throughout the course. Lastly, #3 as a split-fairway par 5 is not a good hole in my view. There's no point in taking it up the left side. Makes the hole longer and harder.
In conclusion, just a lot of hard, penal golf that grinds on you. Not my favorite.
