It’s not known who set out the course when Golf Club Perugia was founded in the late 1950s but David Mezzacane renovated the holes in the early 1990s. The clubhouse is rather unique, dating back to the 1920s, part of which consists of a couple of old brick lime kilns which loom over the outside terrace.

Today, the course extends to just under 6,000 metres from the regular tees, playing to a par of 72 (38 out then 34 in), with holes arranged as two returning 9-hole loops. The front nine features three par fives (at holes 1, 5 and 6) and only one par three at the very short 7th.

Notable holes include the short par four 4th and the long, narrow par four 9th (with a tree in the middle of the fairway) which leads to a 2-tiered green. On the inward half, both par threes at the 12th and 15th are short but they’re potential card-wrecking holes to be respected.
