The golf course may have a long title but it is an impressive setup, originally designed by Bernard Langer in the mid 1990s and revamped by new Canadian owners from 2022.

It's open enough such that you can stray and still find your ball and continue on. A majority of the holes allow for green approach directly as most are protected left and right with bunkers but rarely directly in front. Slightly elevated greens are the norm. The new owners at the former Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links have rebranded the 18-hole course as the Jameson Golf Links at the Portmarnock Resort.

This was the last round of 9 rounds in only 6 days, all of them walking and some of them carrying in the wind and rain … Ireland can be a demanding beast when climate is not the best.
