A drive down to the Mornington peninsular to miss the Melbourne rain worked out nicely as we managed to get round 14 holes before the wet weather moved in. The wind coming off the sea adds to the challenge at Portsea.
I enjoyed the par four 1st (The Moonah) a great way to kick off the round, one of the shorter par fours on the course but still a golfing test. The par three 7th (Glory Box) was a fun with the wind swirling around us. Finishing on the 18th par four with the driving rain was an entertaining way to complete the course.
Fast greens, well kept fairways and tidy well placed bunkers combine to make a good course that is worth the drive from Melbourne.
