Pleasant surprise at Puntiro, the course is a really good design and exceeded my expectation. The welcome at the club is friendly and the course is worth a visit. The first six holes are decent enough but the 7th and 8th are two par-4's that have the water factor to contend with and are great fun to play with a watery grave very close to both greens. The run of holes from the 10th to the 13th are a joy even without water - there is an amen corner feel here and the par-3 13th along with the 10th (par-4) are my favourite holes. Water back in play at the 15th and 16th and again, so close to the greens! The 18th is a decent closing hole, slight dog-leg right with a tough approach. This course has the potential to secure the no.2 on the island slot (Son Gual looks to be un-rivalled as no.1) and it is not that far away already, just a little TLC should do it.
