Like Stoke Park, RAC gets a lot of attention for its clubhouse.

Without the clubhouse, the course wouldn't be looked at so highly. The course is nice, with interesting hole and elevation change. However, it's the same as 90% of parkland courses in England, and nothing special.

A pleasant course with some very good holes but let down by some awful bunkers (little or no sand) and greens of average quality.

Fairways aren't watered apparently so expect plenty of run in the summer. I can't see this edging higher in the rankings as the main review alludes to, having played some higher ranked courses.

I played this course in January and it was in immaculate condition for a course at this time of year.

The greens are fast and exceptionally well maintained. I had a very good day and will consider becoming a member of this Surry club.

Played here as a member's guest today - the clubhouse is a fabulous setting and the Old Course is adequate, but not one of the greatest in the locale.

There were no real stand-out holes for me, but the greens were in very good condition. But I can see how one could happily be a member here, with 36 holes to chose from and great service all round. Nice to play, but not one of Surrey's finest courses.

The splendour of the club house is as good as it gets for the RAC i'm afraid.

The impossing building and great locker rooms are not matched by the course itself.The short opening par 4 is unfortunately a sign of things to come. There are few good holes and no great holes to speak of. Their are a few small elevation changes which help, but most holes are dull.The fairways and ...

I find it astonishing that this course is rated as a gem ahead of others in the area.

The setting at the RAC Club is fantastic and the conditioning of the course is first class, however it is a mediocre track in an area of fantastic courses. Listing this as a gem ahead of some of the others will just lead people away from far better golfing experiences to be had in the area.
