Boasting sweeping ocean views from every hole, the layout spans three distinct ecosystems, starting in the dunes, moving inland through a dense “cactus forest” before returning to the coast for a finishing flourish along the water’s edge.
Feature holes include both the short par fours at the 4th and 16th, with all five oceanfront holes on the course a contender for signature hole status – probably the one that will live longest in the memory is the par three 17th, which plays to an island green.
A 12-hole Short Course consisting of a dozen low-lying holes from the regular eighteen can be played during the windy season in late spring. These holes, sheltered by the dunes and shielded from Pacific breezes, form a shorter loop for use at any time of year, of course.
“We wanted to build a sustainable course that is playable from all perspectives, including the forward tees,” said Greg Norman. “We are committed to making a global impact by crating courses that withstand the test of time, and I truly believe this golf course is one of the best we’ve ever built.”
