Reddish Vale Golf Club

I had high expectations for Reddish with it being ranked 10th in Cheshire, especially considering some great courses such as Mere, Carden Park, Wychwood etc all rank below it.

I finally got to play one of the final few top ranked Cheshire courses last month.

Alistair Mackenzie set out Reddish vale in 1912, set on rolling moorland intersected by the River Tame its hard to believe that RVGC is only 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre!

Played RV straight after lockdown with a member for the first time.

Every hole a challenge.

Reddish first came to my attention many years ago in a book called 'Britain's most extraordinary golf holes' where it's 18th was featured.

One of many decent members courses in a small area.

Reddish Vale is a really good golf course, with fine turf, good greens, some very challenging shots and a great variety of holes.
