RedTail Landing
Puddicombe Golf has been an active participant in dozens of golf course projects since it began in 1981 with new designs and redevelopments in locations as far apart as North America, Japan and New Zealand (Lakes Resort Pauanui).
When the opportunity arose to invest in a turnkey operation to design, construct and manage a golf course in their native Alberta, the Puddicombes just couldn’t resist the challenge and so RedTail Landing was unveiled to the golfing world in 2003.
Inspired by the seaside courses of Ireland and Scotland, the architects set out to form a “Canadian prairie links” on a flattish 234-acre site right next to Edmonton international airport with wide, strategically-bunkered fairways that would play hard and fast.
RedTail Landing also plays long from the back tees with only one of the four par threes on the scorecard measuring less than 220 yards.
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
