Holes are arranged as two returning nines, with water only ever coming into play at one hole, the par three 7th, where the tee shot must fly a billabong to the green that lies beyond this aquatic hazard. The round ends in dramatic style with a 146-metre par three hole that plays to the home green right in front of the clubhouse – hit the tee shot too hard and you’ll end up out of bounds behind the putting surface.
Highlight holes include the tough, right doglegging 3rd (rated stroke index 1); the first (and shortest) of the four par threes on the card at the 4th; the shortest of the par fives at the left doglegging 11th; and the short par four 13th which turns 90 degrees right to the green less than fifty metres from the target – it’s rated stroke index 18 but birdies are by no means guaranteed at this quirky little hole.
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
