Roaring Fork
Basalt, Colorado- Address100 Arbaney Ranch Rd, Basalt, CO 81621, USA
Dating back to the late 1990s, the 18-hole layout at the Roaring Fork Club is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course that’s set out on either side of the river of the same name, with fairways routed through a mixture of landscapes; from undulating, wooded terrain to open ranch land.
It’s a rather diverse 282-acre site, featuring stone outcroppings, stands of Cottonwood trees and wetland areas teeming with trout so, along with the fast flowing waters of the Roaring Fork River, there’s plenty of visual stimulation on the property to keep golfers fully engaged during their round.
Highlight holes include the difficult par four 7th, rated stroke index 1 – played to a large double green that’s shared with the par five 15th – and the heavily bunkered par three signature 16th, located directly on the banks of the river.

Jack Nicklaus will forever be associated with greatness on the golf course, but it’s his design work that should also be remembered in equal measure to his magnificent competitive achievements on the links.
