Opened for play in 2004, Ropice Golf Resort can trace its origins to the mid-1970s when the sports union TJ Oldřichovice TESLA founded a golf section which at that time played out of a course in Šilheřovice. Over time, the club became Golf Club Třinec which was renamed Beskydský Golf Club in 1999.

Hans Georg Erhard was then engaged at the start of the new millennium to lay out a new course for the members in Ropice which lies close to the border with Poland in the foothills of the Beskids Mountains, between Třinec and Český Těšín. The new 18-hole course opened for play in 2004.
The original course measured 6,263 metres in length, with par set at 72 but such was the popularity of the Ropice development, an addition Blue nine was added in 2023. The Red nine is now formed from holes 10-18 of the old layout and the White comprises former holes 1-5 and 7 (as the new #9) along with three new holes.
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
