Rosebud (North)
Rosebud Country Club was formed by disaffected members of nearby Carrington Park Golf Course (now known as Bay Views Golf Course) who wanted their club to go in a different direction so they bailed out and moved a very short distance to set up their own golfing operation.
The first nine holes on the North course were ready for play in 1964, with the second nine following a year later. Such was the popularity of the new set-up, another 93 acres were purchased in 1970 and the South course made its appearance six years later.
The North course hosted the Australian PGA Championship 1976. Bill Dunk, who represented Australia in three World Cup tournaments between 1968 and 1972, won his fifth and final PGA title when he beat Peter Croker in a playoff after both had tied with 4-round aggregate scores of 281.
