Took a train ride on a nice November day back in 2015 from London to Sandwich and played Royal St George's and to this day I still remember the experience as being one of the best golf days ever.
Nicest people you would ever want meet, from pro shop (Set me up with a great set of Calaway clubs) to the locker room.
The course was an absolute gem to play. Met up with a local player (Eddie from Deal) on the back nine which was a wonderful experience. When I finished my round and asked to use the phone in the locker room to call a cab, the attendant offered to drive me to the train station. Exceptional customer service!
While walking to his car we saw Eddie driving out and he offered to take me to the train. Just wonderful day and most friendly people I've ever met on a golf day.
Hope you are still singing Karaoke to the Beach Boys Eddie. Thanks again everyone in Sandwich, Dan from NJ.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
