Set out on a compact parkland property of less than a hundred acres to the south of Nottingham, the course at Ruddington Grange Golf Club features water hazards (in the form of ditches cutting across fairways) at several holes on the scorecard.

Measuring 6,615 yards from the back markers, the course plays to a par of 72, with tight, tree-lined holes arranged as two returning 9-hole circuits. Ponds also come into play close to the green on the par four 16th and par four 18th.

Other holes of note include the 400-yard 7th and 448-yard 13th (rated stoke index 2 and 1, respectively); back-to-back par fives at the 10th and 11th; and the 203-yard 15th, with a small bunker guarding the front right of the green and water lurking behind the putting surface.
