Rufford Park

Set in the heart of Sherwood Forest, the parkland course at Rufford Park Golf and Country Club has evolved through the years due to the input of architects such as Donald Steel and Ken Moodie of Creative Golf Design.

Today, the course measures around 6,35 yards from the back tees, playing to a par of 70, with holes set out as two returning nines. Water hazards come into play on the back nine with the Rainworth Water (River Maun tributary) watercourse featuring on holes 10, 12 and 17.

Other holes of note include the long par four 9th (stroke index 1) and the right doglegging par five 13th (with out of bounds on the right). The par three 17th seems to be the easiest of the short holes on the scorecard but the water carry from tee to green might prove otherwise.
