The course at Rungsted is among Denmark's oldest courses. It is a true parkland course with mature trees lining the fairways. The design of the course puts effort on strategic play. The best holes are probably the short par tree 15, which makes you dream of Augusta National. Another good hole is the par 5 16, with a big gully to the right of the green. The turf at Rungsted is a bit heavy - it is basicly built on marsh land. A part of the critism of Rungsted is that it is a short course that is build on a small piece of land. There is no doubht that this course is good and that it has a rich history, however, there are other courses in the area that are at least as good!
