Saint-Omer

Designed by Joan Dudok van Heel and first opened for play in 1990, the course at Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club has hosted an annual tournament for professionals on the European Challenge Tour since 2000.

Laid out as two returning nines, the course extends to 6,218 metres from the back tees, with par set at 73. Feature holes include the right doglegging par four 3rd, rated stroke index 1, back-to-back par fives at the 14th and 15th, and the 473-metre 18th, which plays to a two-tiered home green.

The Saint-Omer Open was first played here in 1997 as a Mastercard Tour event before becoming a Challenge Tour stop three years later. From 2003 to 2013, the tournament was also included on the European Tour calendar, attracting winners from nine different countries during that time.

World Top 100 Golf Courses

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
