Sandiway Golf Club

Standing on the first tee you could see this was going to be a different kettle of fish - even if i did make birdie.

Recently revisited Sandiway to play around, after 6 years, and in that time I had forgot how good the course is.

Sandiway mesmerised, intrigued and delivered.

Nice greens and nice course layout.

Having played the Cheshire top two of Sandiway and Delamere Forest for the first time in the same 12 month period, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed Sandiway, the lower ranked of the two courses.

Lucky enough to play here on 15th March this year with a colleague.

One of the best courses in the county, and a nice place to visit.

Firstly, and I must make this clear, this has to be the friendliest golf club I’ve ever visited.

Growing up in Cheshire as I did, I was often informed of the magical Sandiway, touted by some members of my home course as the best in the area.

There’s nothing like chipping into the hole on the Sunday at the Open – even if it’s the Sandiway Golf Club mixed open.
