Schönenberg

Since it was first established in 1929, the Harradine design company has undertaken well over a hundred golf projects throughout Germany and Switzerland and the 18-hole course at Schönenberg Golf & Country Club is one of them.

Constructed in the mid 1960s, fairways are routed over a narrow sliver of land alongside the River Krebs so, as you might expect, water comes into play at a number of holes.

Very little earth was moved when creating this natural lie-of-the-land course so if it's pleasant parkland golf that you're after in relaxing Swiss countryside then Schönenberg fits the bill perfectly.

The course closes from the middle of November to the end of February every year so don’t expect to play any winter golf here at Schönenberg.
