I played this course in 40mph+ winds and it made it exceptionally challenging but great fun, hitting 3 wood into par 4 greens and nearly driving par 5’s depending on wind direction.

We knew that having to take a 60 minute detour to drive through the center of The Lake District would take us on narrow roads that led to breathtaking views, but we really had no idea that it would lead us to a very fun and wonderful course named Seascale.

Enjoyable, undulating traditional links.

Seascale is probably the most remote course in England and even makes Siloth and Furness seem accessible and anytime you embark on a journey to a remote course you wonder during the drive if the journey will be worth it.

A nice links course, which takes some getting to, it has a lot of undulations a some really good holes.

If there were points on offer for the journey to the course Seascale would be in the top 10 in England.

I wasn't sure what to expect of Seascale, but was very glad that I played it.

I would like to rate Seascale higher but I think it falls just short of being a hidden gem.

Seascale plays second fiddle to Silloth along this stretch of Cumbria coast, and the shadow of the Sellafield Nuclear Plant may loom over the course, yet a visit to Seascale should not be overlooked.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
