Our group of eight golfers from the U.K. on holiday in South Carolina were lucky enough to be invited to play at Secession. The course commands outstanding views over the Low Country marhland. The first hole drive over the marsh was quite an intimidating shot off the Jebb Stuart tee, I hate to think what it would have looked like off the back tee!The fairways were quite generous but positioning was key to allow the player to attack the greens. The course has a requirement for all players to take a caddy. My caddy was very informative & helpful and certainly added to my experience.A stand out hole was the short 17th with an island green a third of the size of the TPC Sawgrass. The course was in outstanding condition and the ante bellum style clubhouse oozed charm.
