What was formerly a pleasant golfing experience is now a must play course, it's even possible that Secret Valley Golf Club could once again become the No.1 course in Cyprus.

Just returned from a golfing trip to Cyprus with the lads - all of us agreed that this is the weakest of the 4 courses in the Paphos area.

It's hard to judge the course in isolation - because the other 3 in the area are so close and I would guess most golfers who go to Cyprus will look to play all 4 (if not a smaller selection). However, the course is in the worst condition of the 4 - it is quite scruffy and unkempt.

Really is a course as the name suggests, built in a barren valley where everything right is a lost ball.

Really pretty holes but some are blind which is less than ideal. The definite number 2 course in Cyprus behind Aphrodite Hills.

If you look at Secret Valley via google maps then you’ll see there are overgrown playing corridors past the clubhouse, further up the valley, so presumably they were in play before the layout was remodelled a decade ago.

I really enjoyed playing Secret Valley this past weekend.

Nice friendly welcome and a good sedate course, many strategic lay up shots required and local knowledge on some blind tee shots helps but a nice walkable course.

The setting is stunning probably the most scenic of the 3 courses listed in my opinion, green a lovely pace, the only negative is the pace of play touching 4.5 hours for not a long course difficult to not lose concentration
