In this windswept environment, it’s hard to imagine you are just half an hour’s drive away from the most populated city in China as you stride the links-like fairways of this seaside layout.
The Golden Bear routed the holes around the perimeter of a 410-acre property, with housing units occupying the middle portion of the site, allowing golfers uninterrupted sea views from the fairways on the east flank of the premises.
The landscape may be a little flat but that means there are no blind shots or hidden hazards to contend with. And because everything’s laid out before you, there’s absolutely no excuse for ending up in one of Jack’s trademark waste bunkers.
