Shangri-La (Heritage & Legends)

Donald Sechrest created the Old Blue Golf Course in the 1970s in the beginning In the '70s, an vast renovation led of the course by Tom Clark (Ault, Clark and Associates) has brought the original 18 course back to previous glory. The course is now known by"the "Heritage" as well as the "Legends" nines (the back and front of the 18 originally respectively) The course is able to travel more than 7,200 yards, and has 79 bunkers.

The course is particularly notable for its association with legendary baseball player Mickey Mantle, who considered it his personal course and also hosted an event for charity golf there in the 1990s. In fact, the most famous hole was named in honor of Mantle, with an excellent reason.

No. 9 on"Legends "Legends" is a par five which will be played at the end of most rounds along the Legends/Heritage course. It has two greens both of which are in play (with the player who leads the round having the privilege of choosing which green to play towards). The island is one, while the other one that is longer for an extra run-up following an water cross. The hole is named after Mantle since he was able to make a double eagle.
